Traces the descendants of Henry Dinsmore (1730-1796), Hugh Strong (born 1753) and Andrew Freebairn [Freeborn] (c. 1720-1783) from the eighteenth century in County Donegal, Ireland to families living today in Ireland, Canada and United States. Includes related families such as Quinn, Hall, McVittie, Griffith and Kirkpatrick. Incorporates local history from the nineteenth century for Drumholm Parish, County Donegal, Cartwright, Proton and Collingwood Townships, in Ontario, as well as family stories from relatives and the diary of Sydney (Dinsmore) Conn (1863-1904). Sources are documented from the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, and the Ontario Archives: parish registers, deeds, wills, census records, tax assessments, obituaries, cemetery transcripts and birth, marriage and death registers.
